Smartwaiver

When they are the better choice

If you run an activity business - a trampoline park, a climbing gym, a rafting company, an axe-throwing venue - Smartwaiver is the better choice and it is not close. They have been doing this since 2011, their integration list covers the booking systems those operators actually use, they have native iOS and Android kiosk apps, and driver's licence scanning is genuinely useful when four hundred people arrive in one afternoon. Their API is open and documented. If your volume is high and spiky and your waiver is a single liability release that never changes, they are a mature product built precisely for you. We are not trying to win that customer.

Lumela

When we are

The difference shows up in two places. The first is what the form knows. A Smartwaiver waiver is whatever you build in their editor; a Lumela waxing form arrives already asking about isotretinoin, retinoids and recent resurfacing, and flags a yes in red before the client sits down. That is not a builder feature, it is thirteen treatments' worth of contraindication research, and it is the entire product. The second is the shape of the price. Their entry tier is $19 a month for up to 100 signed waivers; ours is $16 for the same 100, and $24 for unlimited. So we are cheaper at the bottom and flat above it, where their next steps are $55 for 300 and $155 for 1,000. A busy month should not be a more expensive one.

Questions people actually ask
